ARTIST: Perhaps more accurately, Haruka is an artist to the core who works in multiple mediums but, the camera is her first love.

FALLEN STAR: The problem is, Haruka was discredited. Her stint as a photojournalist during the height of the Yugoslav war and Balkanization saw her come back from the war-zone, after a deeply traumatizing captivity, with a near religious zeal for the occult.

THE OCCULT: Haruka was given some leeway for her trauma, but her fall from grace was due to an outspoken belief in psychic phenomenon and a penchant for paranormal investigation that she doubled down on for some time after her return to the States. She still has an interest in it, though she has learned some temperance with time.
