Introduction[ edit ]

Overview[ edit ]
  • Once a prominent, Pulitzer nominated, war correspondent Haruka still retains a tiny vestige of her previous fame. It is more remnants alongside the notoriety of a reputation in tatters after a span of five years. Her past is like vague whispers on the wind about past glories as a humanitarian and artist who went out of her way to tell the story of the downtrodden.
  • Haruka lost her place because of an outspoken belief in the supernatural. It was as though someone were working against her actively behind the scenes, with even galleries reluctant to show her art pieces because she was given an accompanying reputation as being too eccentric to work with.
RP Hooks[ edit ]
  • PHOTOGRAPHER: Famous or not, Haruka lives for photography.
  • ARTIST: Perhaps more accurately, Haruka is an artist to the core who works in multiple mediums but, the camera is her first love.
  • FALLEN STAR: The problem is, Haruka was discredited. Her stint as a photojournalist during the height of the Yugoslav war and Balkanization saw her come back from the war-zone, after a deeply traumatizing captivity, with a near religious zeal for the occult.
  • THE OCCULT: Haruka was given some leeway for her trauma, but her fall from grace was due to an outspoken belief in psychic phenomenon and a penchant for paranormal investigation that she doubled down on for some time after her return to the States. She still has an interest in it, though she has learned some temperance with time.
  • SCARRING PAST: Those who spend enough time around Haruka will inevitably see the scars caused by her trauma. She may or may not be willing to discuss it, but is more likely to do so when she feels a kinship to those she speaks to.
