Larger than life, for better and mostly worse, Ajax Best came to Houston's Juniper Cross Community, if you believe what he says, on an important mission to collect the Silver Fang kinfolk left over from the destruction of Resonant Fury. His mission: collect the pieces of power and history that commemorate that fallen Silver Fang Sept. The truth is bleaker for him: he was essentially exiled to a written off piece of the Americas by his fellows so that he would not bother or frustrate their greater struggles elsewhere in Virginia and more promising fights that weren't already lost. Like him.
Though on paper, he is a capable warrior, charismatic storyteller, and loveable and heroic scion of Gaia's Greatest Garou Tribe, everything is a facade. Like a modern day Don Quixote, he misconstrues reality to fit a self aggrandizing narrative. His affability and grace are out of step with his stubbornly naive nature, and his belief that everyone is the best version of themselves glosses over every imperfection and dehumanizes the people around him to make his mental narrative all the more saccharine.
Confused about his nature, and the nature of the world, he is constantly mystified by the events around him, and blows it off with a dumb smile. He will just speak more fervently and with more gusto, he will just fight on with more heroic abandon, he will just muddle his way through until he gets to the other side, every time he is faced with a world that wasn't built to fairytale spec.
Galliard: Though he may be a bumbling buffoon, he makes for a great hype man and is always looking to unearth a fresh story relevant to his people.

Kinfolk: He is helped by a cadre of Silver Fang kinfolk who, some to a greater, some to a much lesser degree, resent his existence. Maybe they'd be much more happy to help you?
Feats of Derring Do: If there are dragons to slay or damsels in distress, this idiot can be conned into leaping into action without much trying.
Virginia: He's from out there, where the Silver Fangs were.
Your Own Personal Tale: Do you need a stalwart ally in finding or recording your own personal story? He's done some of that for the Sept of the Holly King.
Delia: Having fought shoulder to shoulder with her on a handful of occasions, he respects her prowess and finds her dedication to real causes to be mysterious, but good.
Enzo: Highly respects his fighting prowess and leadership skills.
Etienne: Having competed with him for Talesinger, they have had their differences, but he tries hard to match Etienne's genuine wisdom with his fool's gold version of it.
Francesca: Battle sister.
Gabriel: Looks up to his wisdom and farseeing like a younger brother might. But, Gabriel's expectations might be a little high for him...he'd never admit that.
Medina: He absolutely hates the guy but finds himself relying on him way too much. Something about him gets his blood up.
Tori: Looks to her for righteousness and philodoxery -- even if she'd bet he first to tell you that you never should.
