Kahale

From RetroMUX

Kahale "Breaker" Moana

“The sea is not cruel.
It remembers. That is different.”

The tide carries what must be carried,
buries what must be buried,
and sings of all that once was.

—Breaker, The Salt-Worn Sentinel

Known As: Breaker, Kahale
Species: Rokea (Squamus)
Apparent Age: Mid-Forties
Birthplace: Aotearoa Seas, 1200s
Current Domain: Gulf of Mexico / Houston Coast
Role: Guardian of the Deep, Wyrm-Hunter, Spiritual Cleansing Ritualist

Words from the Tide
"The ocean never forgets its children."
"Nor its prey."

Born of the Deep

Kahale Moana walks the line between spirit and predator. Forged in the reef-cuts of the past and baptized in oil-slick blood from the tainted rigs of man, he answers to no Wyrm-born master. Rokea in form, shark in soul, he now roams near Houston's coast, swimming between the scars of spirit and sea to restore what can be saved—and punish what cannot.

"Breaker" was the name the humans gave to the waves that destroyed their vessels. Fitting.

Saltbound

  • Ritualist of the Tide: Performs rites lost even to many Rokea—honoring whale spirits, cleansing taint, and weaving gnosis through salt, blood, and chant.
  • Ocean’s Judgement: He has destroyed rigs and fought corrupted leviathans in the blackest waters.
  • Spiritual Ally: Keeps a spirit totem carved from driftwood embedded in a scar on his flank.
  • The Shack: Dwells in a metal-bone shack built from sunken ships, bones, and prayer rope hidden in a cove behind a waterfall.
  • Forbidden But Unbroken: Exiled from the Heeding. Still serves Gaia. Still defends the Deep.
