Jacob/Introduction

Jacob "Leaping Tiger" Kongo was born in Houston, Texas. His father was studying engineering abroad from Japan at Houston's Cullen College of Engineering, where he met Jacob's mother who was an engineering student.

His father hails from a wealthy Japanese family that founded and owns a semiconductor manufacturing company, Kongo Semiconductor. Jacob's parents married after finishing school and shortly after he was born the family moved to Tokyo, Japan. In Japan, Jacob studied karate at the Kyokushin Karate Honbu Dojo in Tokyo, and kenjutsu at the Yagyu Shinkage-ryu school.

Recently, Jacob moved to Houston to open a karate dojo and take on American students.
