Hobart
Hobart Alexander Donovan, or just Bart to his closest friends and Consorts, was at one point in time, a newspaperman right here in the great city of Houston. Working originally for the Houston Telegraph, Bart found himself acting as both a reporter and a pressman, regularly operating the rotary press to get the evening edition out in time for dinner. He was a dedicated voice of truth in the face of civil corruption, and he was good at it too, for several years. Eventually fate has a way of catching up to you, and in Bart's case, it was a freak accident. On his way back to Houston from travelling to a nearby town to get a scoop on a new church being raised, Bart and his horse caught some debris from a mining blast about 500 feet from the road. Bart was killed immediately by a chunk of granite striking the side of his head, and his poor horse was killed by several others.
That hasn't actually stopped Hobart from his dedication to the truth. Now one of Houston's Restless Dead, Hobart finds himself able to expose the truth in ways he couldn't previously imagine. While the Hierarchy of the Houston Necropolis don't really see reason to have a newspaper exposing the truth of the local Shadowlands to the Restless public, Hobart has found that he's more than able to expose the corrupt people hiding among the Quick.

- Wraith - Hobart is very very dead. That hasn't stopped him in over 100 years.
- Puppeteer - Hobart is a member in good standing of the Puppeteer's guild, and an expert at driving the living around like skincars.
- Fae Affinity - For some reason Bart has never been able to explain, he crosses paths with Faeries a lot. When he was alive he would meet strange people on his outings as a reporter, and after he died, it just got stranger.
