Asher
A former policeman who got a little too close to the truth. Asher learned the hard way what happens when you see too much.
He started his career in the Marines, having been told all his life, as a big guy it was either the marines or basketball, and his 3-pointers always needed some work. But finding the military unsatisfying, he eventually returned home to Houston, taking a job as a policeman.
As a cop he quickly grew obsessive over the abnormally high amount of missing persons cases in Houston and began digging into different cold cases. He came a little too close to the truth, which lead him dangerously close to discovering the Sabbat. And when you know too much about the world of darkness, you either join or die. Or in Asher's case, both.
After being left for dead by the Sabbat, he was saved by the Camarilla - after all, a trained fighter with good reason to hate their enemy is a valuable tool. Ash owes his life to the Camarilla and is fiercely loyal to them, even if a bit distant. He's been well-trained to hate the Sabbat and holds a grudge over his own death.
Ash comes off standoffish and might project loner vibes, but this couldn't be further from the truth. He's just a bit odd and carries a lot of pain. Those who get to know him might be surprised to find that what you see isn't always what you get.
Guerrilla Warrior - Ash is well trained in combat, but also stealth. He's an excellent ambush fighter and a passable shadow, despite his size.
Vigilante - Asher's primary way of feeding and stress relief involves hanging around shady areas and looking around for murderers, rapists, wife-beaters, and other awful people to take his frustrations out on. Its not the healthiest outlet, but it is community service.
Basket Case - Asher might not always look it at first glance, but he's carrying a lot of damage and he has severe ptsd, flashbacks, blackouts, and other issues that might make him interesting to psychiatrists, therapists, and empaths.
Fangs - Asher needs to drink blood, and there's a lot of ways for that to happen.
This character is intended to depict the effects of trauma and PTSD and play it up for dramatic purposes. But that does not always have to be the focus of every scene involving him and if that kind of thing doesn't vibe right for you, please let me know.
I am always open to input and course-correction in my RP. I enjoy pushing the envelope and toeing boundaries in ways that I think are flashy.
