Introduction[ edit ]
- Born January 1, 1845 in Bosque County, Texas.
- Grew up on and worked at his parents' ranch raising Longhorn cattle in the 1840s and 1850s.
- Volunteered for the Confederate Army during the United States Civil War.
- Assigned to the 1st Texas Infantry, Hood's Texas Brigade under John Bell Hood, serving in the Army of Northern Virginia.
- After end of the war, returns to Texas and by 1867 is riding in John Wesley Hardin's outlaw gang.
- Killed several men in places like Gonzales, Comanche, and Cuero.
- In 1871, killed a man in Waco and was involved in the Sutton-Taylor feud, a violent range war in South Texas.
- Ghouled in early 1877 by a Gangrel. She was nomadic and ran her own band of outlaws.
- Embraced in Spring of 1895 while in Dallas by Josie Hood of Clan Tremere. Poached from the Gangrel who was very angry at his sire.
- Moved with his sire to the chantry in Austin, Texas in 1914.
- Began self-educating himself reading books on history and classic works of literature at the University of Texas library in addition to the occult training expected by Clan Tremere.
- In the early 1940s and 1950s his sire began tasking him with finding and acquiring rare books on the occult and magic for the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Texas named Harry Ransom.
- In 1957 many of the books he found were part of the founding collection of the University of Texas' Rare Books Library, known in modern nights as the Harry Ransom Center.
- In 1964 while seeking out another rare book he encountered a nomadic Sabbat pack in a warehouse in Houston. In the ensuing battle the warehouse caught fire and collapsed atop him. Buried under the rubble he went into torpor.
- Emerges from torpor when in the Fall of 1995, the future Houston Astros baseball stadium, Enron Field slated to be completed in the year 2000 underwent initial site preparation and demolition. Demolition workers cleared enough debris he was able to awaken, emerge from under the rubble, and feed on the night shift security guards.
