Haruka/Hooks

• Famous or not, Haruka lives for photography.

• Perhaps more accurately, Haruka is an artist to the core who works in multiple mediums but, the camera is her first love.

• The problem is, Haruka was discredited. Her stint as a photojournalist during the height of the Yugoslav war and Balkanization saw her come back from the war-zone after a deeply traumatizing captivity. She was given some leeway for her trauma, but her fall from grace was due to an outspoken belief in psychic phenomenon and a penchant for paranormal investigation that she doubled down on after her return to the States.

• Those who spend enough time around Haruka will inevitably see the scars caused by her trauma. She may or may not be willing to discuss it, but is more likely to do so when she feels a kinship to those she speaks to.
