Charlie would be long dead if not for the charity, care and love of her adoptive mother.

Dealt a bad hand, as a child. Critically poor health, the tragic death of her biological parents, no living family to step in and care for her.

It was in a children's hospice that she was discovered and rescued, her recovery sponsored and her adoption arranged.

She was treated as family, her medical needs addressed, and raised as a proper young lady... With varying success.

Today Charlie's health has stablized, she's a promising young writer, creative and student.

As for her adoptive family? They had to leave Texas, to take care of urgent business elsewhere. Leaving Charlie behind and alone to complete her education.
